Emerging Papers is committed to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to uphold the highest standards of scientific integrity.

01

Responsibilities of Editors

  • Impartiality: Editors evaluate all submitted manuscripts with equal fairness, objectivity, and without bias.
  • Double-Blind Peer Review: The identity of both authors and reviewers is kept strictly confidential throughout the evaluation process. If reviewer opinions are conflicting or inconclusive, an additional reviewer may be assigned, or the final decision will be made by the Editor.
  • Conflict of Interest Prevention: If an author and an editor belong to the same school, the evaluation process for that manuscript will be managed by an independent or guest editor.
02

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Independent Evaluation: Reviewers must conduct fair, constructive, and completely objective evaluations.
  • Confidentiality: Submitted manuscripts are strictly confidential documents and cannot be shared or discussed with third parties.
  • Institutional Conflict Prohibition: Reviewers cannot evaluate a manuscript authored by a student or researcher from their own school.
03

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Originality: All submitted work must be entirely original and produced by the author(s).
  • Single Submission Policy: Manuscripts must not be submitted to multiple journals simultaneously, nor should they have been published previously elsewhere.
  • Author Accountability: Authors bear full academic, ethical, and legal responsibility for the originality, data accuracy, and compliance with ethical standards of their published work.
