What publishing gives your students

01

Global visibility

Every published paper is freely available to readers worldwide immediately upon publication, without subscription or paywall barriers.

02

Students keep their copyright

Authors retain their copyright under a Creative Commons license (CC BY 4.0).

03

A developmental approach

We view every submission that meets all of our requirements and standards as an opportunity for students to learn, improve, and grow as scholars and writers.

04

Timely publication

Acta Scholaria publishes accepted papers immediately upon acceptance, without unnecessary delay. Outlier Today publishes accepted articles on the release date of its next issue.

How It Works

From submission to publication

The full editorial process
  1. Submit online

Students choose the publication that fits their work and submit their paper on our website — no account needed.

  2. Parent / guardian consent

Authors under 18 need the consent of a parent or legal guardian. We email them a link to confirm, and the paper can only be published once they have.

  3. Review

Acta Scholaria papers go through preliminary screening, editorial review and peer review. Outlier Today articles are published based on editorial board approval.

  4. Publication

Accepted papers are subject to an Article Processing Charge, sent to the author by email, and are then published online, open access: in Acta Scholaria straight away, in Outlier Today with its next issue.

For Teachers and Counselors

Supporting your students

  • Co-authorship & Mentorship: Teachers, mentors, or academic supervisors may also appear as co-authors and/or advisors on student-led research papers, provided the student's contribution remains central to the project.
  • Student-Focused Teacher Research: Educators and teachers conducting educational research, pedagogical studies, or academic work specifically focused on high school students or secondary education are eligible to submit as sole authors.
