Overview

Target Publication: Outlier Today

Target Book: It will be announced.

The year 2027 is likely to represent a critical period marked by rapid technological breakthroughs, a transforming healthcare landscape, and profound socio-scientific debates. CHRONICLE 2027: The Science, Health & Society Annals—a pioneering initiative by Outlier Today—invites young academics from around the globe to serve as student journalists and document the year’s defining scientific and societal milestones.

Participating students are not expected to conduct independent primary research; instead, they are tasked with reporting on, analyzing, and synthesizing significant developments that occur throughout 2027. We are seeking clear, objective, and engaging reports that cover major breakthroughs, regulatory decisions, institutional innovations, and shifts in social policy across three key areas:

  • Natural Sciences & Engineering
  • Health & Life Sciences
  • Social & Policy Science

Two-Stage Publication Journey

To provide student authors with maximum global reach and double-tier publication prestige, all curated submissions will undergo a unique two-stage release model:

  1. Continuous Digital Release (2027): Accepted news reports and analyses will be published dynamically throughout the year across the four quarterly issues of Outlier Today.
  2. The 2027 Annual Book Compilation (Early 2028): Following the close of the submission window on December 31, 2027, all published reports from the four issues will be curated, indexed, and compiled into a master online e-book volume: “Chronicle 2027: The Science, Health & Society Annals.”

This comprehensive digital anthology will serve as a permanent historical registry of 2027’s major advancements—seen and reported through the analytical eyes of next-generation scholars.
